Anti-Spam Policy
Utility mail is a target for imitation: fake bills and fake refund notices are common. The best defence is that real mail is predictable — same sender, same structure, no surprises. Unsolicited mail undermines that, so we do not send it.
Our rules
- We send only to customer accounts the supplier maintains, for contracts that exist or have just ended.
- Customer data of one supplier is never combined with that of another, nor used for third parties.
- Promotional mail requires the customer's own opt-in, recorded with time and source.
- Suppliers may not import address lists of prospective customers.
What counts as misuse
- Mailing households that are not customers of the supplier.
- Embedding offers in bills, readings or supply notices.
- Using a sender name that hides the supplier.
- Ignoring unsubscribe requests for promotional mail.
When you report a message
- We confirm receipt and identify the supplier and message type from the headers.
- If the message appears unsolicited, sending of that type is halted for the supplier while we check.
- A confirmed breach ends our contract; the address is barred from further mail through us.
- If the message was a forgery, we tell you so and inform the supplier.
Unsure whether a message is genuine?
Send it to the address below as an attachment or with all header lines. We will tell you whether it was sent through our systems.
